    As a school librarian, my experience in conducting reader’s advisory services for students has been multifaceted and rewarding. I have a deep understanding of the principles and practices of reader’s advisory and am skilled in using a variety of tools and techniques to assist students in finding books and other resources that align with their interests, abilities, and needs.

    I begin each reader’s advisory interaction by getting to know the student, their reading habits, and their interests. I ask open-ended questions to encourage students to share their thoughts and feelings about reading. I also pay attention to their body language and nonverbal cues to gain a better understanding of their needs.

    Once I have a good understanding of the student’s interests, I use a variety of resources to help them find books that they will enjoy.
