Yes, I have extensive experience participating in collaborative metadata initiatives at both the regional and national levels. Regional Initiatives:
- Midwest Metadata Cooperative (MMC): I served as a founding member of the MMC, a regional collaborative of libraries and cultural institutions in the Midwest. Through the MMC, I have participated in initiatives to develop shared metadata schemas, establish metadata governance frameworks, and provide training and support to other metadata professionals.
- OhioLINK Metadata Working Group: As a member of the OhioLINK Metadata Working Group, I contributed to the development and implementation of metadata standards and guidelines for OhioLINK, a statewide library consortium. I also participated in workshops and presentations to educate other library staff on metadata best practices.
