Throughout my career as a Government Documents Librarian, I have gained extensive experience in cataloging and organizing government documents. I am proficient in using Library of Congress (LC) classification and subject headings, as well as MARC records. I have also developed a deep understanding of the structure and organization of government agencies and their publications.
In my previous role at the University of California, Berkeley, I was responsible for cataloging all government documents received by the library. I processed a wide variety of materials, including books, reports, maps, and microforms. I also created original cataloging records for items that were not available through LC or other bibliographic utilities.
In addition to my cataloging skills, I am also experienced in organizing government documents. I have developed and implemented several systems for organizing and providing access to government documents, including a subject-based browsing system and a digital repository.
